Video editing tools for mac and windows

This post will cover a range of video editing programs available for Mac and Windows that are perfect for bloggers and vloggers. I’ve been meaning to write about this topic for so long, since I originally posted about the Alternatives to Photoshop Part 1 and Part 2 on my first blog. There’s quite a lot of options out there but here are some of the most known along with my recommendations. The majority of programs offer a free trial so try a few out and see what you prefer.

You can edit the videos brightness, contrast and add filters. There’s also a few transitions to choose from and the option to add text. You can access the Editor here.

My Recommendation

My favourite programs are Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro, I’ve used both for five years now. Both are expensive but if you’re willing to invest, they’ll do a whole range of things for you. iMovie is great too for simple editing. Lightworks, Wondershare Video Editor, Sony Movie Studio and Adobe Premiere Elements are also part of my top recommendations.
