DESIGN SELECTION + DELIVERY
Submitting a project inquiry does not guarantee a spot on the schedule. Selection is based upon a creative match and availability. Only a limited number of orders will be taken per month.
Deposits + Waiting List
For projects quoted over £800, an initial non-refundable 50% deposit is required to hold the client’s place on the schedule. The remaining fee will be due before installation. Work will not begin until payment has cleared (can take 3-5 days depending on payment method). Payment plans are available. For projects quoted under £800, payments must be made in full upfront.
Once the deposit has been made and a contract is signed, the client will be added to the schedule and will be notified of a start date, which is only an estimate. This date may change due to other projects, unforeseen circumstances, and/or delayed communication with the client.
Refunds
Due to the nature of digital goods, the web design process, and time involved, refunds are not given for any reason.
Estimates
Estimates provided will be honored for 2 weeks from the date of creation. After this time, a new estimate will be provided upon request. We reserve the right to change rates at any time, including hourly fees.
Authorization + PRIVACY
All clients agree to provide XOmisse access to any hosting, domain account, or blog account for the sole purpose of installing and updating the website as needed. Your information will never be shared with a third party and will not be stored past the date of installation.
Communication
All communication is done via email, our project manager or Skype. No business will be conducted by phone. The design process relies upon consistent communication. The client homework should be completed before the specified start date or the project may need to be rescheduled.
HOSTING
If you are purchasing a custom design for self hosted WordPress, you must purchase web hosting and domain separately. If you aren’t sure about what to purchase, I can give you my advice and recommendations. All files will be hosting on your site / server / third party hosting account. I will send you all files associated with your design. Images will be stored within your blog‚ website and / or on your hosting. You are responsible for backing up all content and design files before installation of your new design.
Development + Completion
XOmisse works hard to complete all projects in a timely manner and will communicate with the client during the entire process of the project. Most projects are completed within 3 to 8 weeks of the start date, but each project is different so it may vary in time. Estimated time of completion is dependent on promptness of communication via email and complexity of the project.
Content Insertion
Adding content to your posts and pages is your responsibility and is not included in any service provided by XOmisse. All content should be finalised and added to your site before project starts.
Proofing + Revisions
Design proofs (including mockups, wireframes, brand boards, etc.) are completed according to the specifications provided by the client in the planning phase. The client should have a decent idea of what their vision is and should clearly express that during the planning process. XOmisse will provide up to three revisions for each project unless otherwise specified. Additional revisions are subject to a fee of £60 per hour. Any changes to the design after installation will also be subject to a fee regardless of the number of revisions used during the process. Please make sure any changes you want made are done before final approval and installation.
DESIGN CREDIT
A small link to XOmisse will be placed at the bottom of the page to credit the designer and developer. This must remain on your blog as long as the template or design element is installed. If you wish to remove the link, you can purchase the complete rights. XOmisse has intellectual and creative rights of every design that XOmisse has created. All content, designs and other intellectual property are protected under copyright and are the property of XOmisse. All designs are for personal use only and may not be redistributed or sold. The client is not purchasing the rights to resell, redistribute, reuse or duplicate the design to be used on more than one platform without prior written permission. This includes, but is not limited to, any text, graphics, design elements and code by XOMISSE. If you wish to use commercially please contact me contact@xomisse.com for a license.
SUPPORT + MAINTENANCE
Email support is included but does not include content editing, continued maintenance or redesigns. After the design has been installed, I give you time to test out the design and work with your blog. Should any concerns arise in this time, I will do any fixes for free. This period is intended for finding errors or bugs, rather than changing the look or layout. Any aesthetic changes at this time will be charged for at our hourly rate. Any issues and updates requested after this testing time will be billed separately, as will any issues caused by you or another person tweaking the template/code.
Promotional Use
XOmisse reserves the right to use project details for promotional material, portfolio and client testimonials.
