5 ways to create a backup of your Instagram Photos

I’ve been reading a lot of stories lately about people who logged onto Instagram only to find that their account had been deleted for no apparent reason, without a warning. After complaints, Instagram re-opened a few of the accounts and apologised for the mistake but it’s made me realise I need to backup my photos more regularly just like I do with my blog and other accounts. I use Instagram to capture moments of my day and although my photos are nothing special I would hate to lose them!

Download your Instagram photos using Instaport

Go to Instaport, sign in, choose your settings, export and download. I love using this tool because it’s the easiest and quickest in my opinion and I love that one of the options you can choose is a time period between certain dates so you can regularly backup your photos without having multiple copies.

Set up a recipe on IFTTT (If This, Then That) to automatically backup your photos on Instagram to Flickr, Dropbox or something else.

Download your Instagram photos using Copygram

Head over to Copygram and click “get started” to sign up for an account, once you’ve verified you’ll be brought to your profile page. From there hover over the Copygram logo and select backup from the drop down menu. Choose the account and click “start crunching”. A link will be emailed to you once they’re done and you have two hours to download them.
